A trekking week is really a must do for every hiker!
Madeira has some really stunning mountain trails which beauty is unparalleled. Many of them are along small irrigation channels called “Levadas”, which are more than 3000 kms and have constructions of more than a hundred years old.
The “Levadas” are the most amazing constructions that Madeira has to show, they show us how harmonious man’s work in nature can be, the majority of them are in the heart of our most valuable treasure which is our Laurel Forest (Laurissilva) and it’s endemic plants. This relic forest is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage as the largest surviving Laurissilva in the world. This forest has high humidity rates due to the moist trade winds that blow in the northern part of the island.
Every day you’ll be fully immersed in nature always accompanied by our local and highly qualified guides that can provide you with the most reliable information’s about the island.
