DAY 1 – HIKKING WEEK – 25 FOUNTAINS

On Day 1 of our EPIC Hiking Week, we’ve started with one of the most famous walks on the island, the 25 Fountains in Rabaçal.

It’s the perfect way to assess the hikers’ fitness level since it can be adjusted to everyone’s level; it’s the perfect first day.

This exceptional tour is located on one of the most amazing places. It’s surrounded by endemic flora from start to finish. It’s also part of UNESCO world heritage.

Besides the amazing flora, we also have several endemic flora species and awe-inspiring waterfalls that we can see along with the incredible human-made levadas perfect and in complete harmony with nature. We’re also able to see the huge tunnel that supplies water to a hydropower plant.

It’s really a must-do hike when you’re in Madeira Island. And with our Local Mountain Guide, it’s even more special.
